With the use of polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation, our Classic Steel Garage Door Model 8300 has an impressive R-value* of 12.12. For an even more superior garage door also using polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation, we have the Classic Steel Garage Door Model 8500 with an R-value of 16.22, UKKO’s highest insulated residential garage door on the market. To give them improved strength, damage-protection of the insulation and a better appeal, these doors are retrofitted with heavy-gauge steel wrap around end caps on the door edges. Last but not least, these models have a couble coated, baked on polyester finish, essentially making them maintenance free.

Models 8500 and 8300 garage doors have the highest insulation value of any Wayne Dalton residential garage doors, without sacrificing classic designs. Using embossed high-tensile steel, the front panels of these doors have the elegant look of wood with the high strength of steel. The insulation used also has sound-absorbing properties allowing the doors to have a quite operation and a significant reduction in noises created by the wind. Offered in four unique designs, four factory finished colors and a large choice of window styles, these garage doors can be customized to compliment any home.

Optional Window Placement

Colonial, Contemporary and Ranch designs give the option of arranging windows vertically or horizontally with an allowance of 50% of the door to have windows on it. Any window placed in the bottom section of a door must use DSB1/8”, tempered, or ½” insulated glass. Special orders may be placed for vertical lite options.
